very competitive service with an average turnaround time of 24-48 hours,
dependent upon volume, and will return completed work normally by email or
by file transfer using Magic Vortex.
The time taken
in transcribing tapes depends on a number of factors. We find that
generally a good practical guide is three times the length of the dictated
tape. Thus a twenty minute clearly recorded tape will take
approximately one hour to transcribe. However, transcriptions of
one-to-one interviews normally take four/five times the length of tape and
focus group interviews approximately six to eight times.
